Blichmann HopBlocker

Stop dealing with traditional screen filters that plug and allow fine break material through. The Blichmann HopBlocker is an innovative filter solution that is ultimately two filters in one. The hop blocker draws wort from the top down through a coarse filter, and when the wort is just a couple of inches from the bottom of the kettle, lower your flow rate to about 1/3, and then lift the shield to expose the fine filter to continue draining from the bottom. Blichmann has shown 95% of break material to have been filtered using the HopBlocker in 20 gallon batches with 1 pound of hops. Great Success!

The HopBlocker is intended for Blichmann's BoilerMaker Brew Kettles, but it can be installed in any kettle.

Note:The hop blocker is designed for use with pellet hops only. Whole/loose hops will plug the HopBlocker. When using a combination of whole/pellet hops, we recommend bagging the whole hops.
