First batch with new kit, ferm. is rapid and blowing threw air lock? Room is 65F Container is about 78F. Sediment is filling up Air lock bowl, had to clean twice - is this normal?

Sounds like you have a nice healthy fermentation going on. You need to use a blowoff tube assembly when you have highly active yeast. Read this article...
