Oxygen Regulator

Aerate your wort with an (almost) neverending supply of oxygen! Those little oxygen cannisters sold at hardware stores are great for a few batches, but sooner or later they run out, sending you back to the store time and time again. Why not get yourself a full-sized oxygen tank and this regulator for your oxygenation needs? Originally purposed for medical uses, this flow control oxygen regulator is perfect for use with beer! Hooking directly to an oxygen cylinder, the oxygen regulator has a remaining gas gauge and a dial system to fine-tune your oxygen output. The dial flow rate is in liters per minute (lpm), and settings include 0, 1/32, 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1, 2, 3, and 4 lpm.

The included barbed fitting, fits 1/4" tubing, but our 3/16" thick walled Bevlex tubing will work just as good, and give you a tighter fit. Also make sure to add a 0.5 diffusion stone for the ultimate aeration setup!

Aeration System

The aquarium pump aeration system is a safe and economical way to introduce oxygen into your wort. The pump works to force air first through a sanitary in-line filter, which removes dirt and contaminants. It then pumps the air into your wort through the included 2 micron diffusion stone, dissolving much-needed oxygen into solution in the process. This system can help you achieve an oxygen concentration of 8 ppm. Simply allow it to run from 20 to 30 minutes. Unlike oxygenation systems where tanks must be replaced, this will never run out of air! Simple, effective and economical. If you are not yet actively aerating your chilled wort, you don't know what you (and your yeast) are missing!

Comes with aeration pump, tubing, in-line filter, and 2 micron diffusion stone. Carboy NOT included.

In-line Sanitary Filter

Keep your air sanitary! This in-line sanitary filter can filter down to 0.023 microns, which will take care of most microbiological agents that could potentially contaminate beer. The filter has a 3/8" fitting on either side. It is most often used in-line for aeration systems, such as those utilizing aquarium pumps or in keg hand pumps. They can also be used in CO2 systems when CO2 is used to pressurize a fermenter or used to purge the headspace in fermenters or kegs in order to keep contaminants from the tank out of your beer. These sanitary filters should be kept dry.and should be always be used in the same direction, the "in" side always being in and the "out" side always being out.

2 Micron Diffusion Stone

The 2 micron diffusion stone can be used for aerating or oxygenating wort, or in quickly carbonating beer in the keg. It has 2 micron holes, larger than the 0.5 micron diffusion stone and will therefore diffuse more quickly with less of a chance of becoming clogged; however, gases will not be diffused as well into solution. It features a 1/4" barbed stem for attachment to tubing. These are often used in aeration or oxygenation systems, but can also be attached to the dip tube of a keg for quick carbonation of beer.

It is recommended to boil the stone after use in order to clean and sanitize. Avoid touching these stones with your hands, as oils from your skin can get into the pores of the stone and cause clogging.

.5 Micron Diffusion Stone

Oxygenate or aerate your wort properly with this stainless steel diffusion stone! This 0.5 micron diffusion stone features smaller holes than a 2 micron stone for quick and effective diffusion of gases into solution. It features a 1/4" barbed stem for attachment to tubing. They are most often used in aeration or oxygenation systems. However, they can also be attached to the dip tube of a keg to bubble CO2 through solution and quickly carbonate beer. Use one while aerating or carbonating and experience the difference!

It is recommended to boil the stone after use in order to clean and sanitize. Avoid touching these stones with your hands, as oils from your skin can get into the pores of the stone and cause clogging.

Oxygen Regulator for Disposable Oxygen Cylinder

If you already have a stainless steel sintered stone and some proper tubing, get yourself this oxygen regulator! It attaches to a disposable oxygen cylinder like the ones found at a hardware store. The regulator has a 1/4" barb for attaching 1/4" ID tubing and an oxygen stone. With a twist of the knob, oxygen is released and regulated. This works great as a replacement for oxygen systems that use disposable oxygen cylinders where the regulator has gone bad. Get your yeast what they need with this regulator!

NOTE: Required but not included is an Oxygen canister. These can be purchased at most hardware stores.
